1. Overview

intelligence amplified. ("ia."), a trade name of Leverage ("we," "us," or "our"), operates three Shopify applications: Product Badges, Low Stock Alerts, and COGS Margin Tracker (collectively, the "Apps"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you install and use our Apps, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data.

Our Apps are installed by Shopify merchants ("you" or "merchant") and operate within the Shopify ecosystem. By installing any of our Apps, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Short version: We collect only what we need to operate the apps. We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising. We delete it when you uninstall.

None of our Apps collect customer personal data. COGS Tracker accesses order data for margin calculations, but stores only product titles, quantities, and financial amounts — not customer names, email addresses, physical addresses, or payment information.

3. How we use your data

We use the data collected solely to operate and improve our Apps. Specifically:

We do not use your data for:

4. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data with any third party. We share data only with the following subprocessors, solely as required to operate the Apps:

We may disclose your data if required by law, regulation, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of intelligence amplified., our users, or the public.

5. Data retention

We retain your data only for as long as your Apps are installed. When you uninstall any of our Apps, all associated store data is deleted from our systems within 48 hours of receiving the app/uninstalled webhook from Shopify.

This includes:

Alert history logs (Low Stock Alerts) are retained for a maximum of 30 days on a rolling basis while the app is installed.

COGS Tracker retains historical order line item data for the lifetime of your subscription. On uninstall, this data is deleted in full.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

No security system is perfect. If you discover a security vulnerability in any of our Apps, please report it to security@leverageapps.com.

7. GDPR rights (EEA merchants)

If you are a merchant in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@leverageapps.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Our legal basis for processing your data is the performance of a contract — specifically, to provide the App services you have subscribed to.

GDPR Data Request Handling

In compliance with Shopify's GDPR requirements, we implement all mandatory data request webhooks: customer data requests, customer data redaction, and shop data redaction.

Because our Apps do not store customer personal data, customer data requests and redaction requests are automatically acknowledged. Shop data redaction triggers full deletion of all store data from our systems.

8. CCPA rights (California merchants)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information:

To submit a CCPA request, contact us at privacy@leverageapps.com.

9. A note on your customers

Our Apps are installed by Shopify merchants. If you are a merchant using our Apps, you are responsible for ensuring that your use of our Apps complies with applicable privacy laws as they relate to your own customers.

None of our Apps collect, store, or process any personal data about your end customers. They operate entirely at the store-admin, inventory, and financial level.

COGS Margin Tracker accesses order data to calculate margins, but stores only order numbers, product titles, quantities, and financial amounts. No customer names, email addresses, physical addresses, or payment information is stored.
